About Nozzle Notes
Plain-English guides to 3D printers, filament and fixes, written to be useful at the printer.
Who writes it
Nozzle Notes is written and edited by Sepehr Sabbagh-pour, a software engineer since 2009 who is now a Head of Engineering leading a team of 20-plus. He has run his own hardware and self-hosted systems for over a decade and writes about smart homes on Smart Home Assistant. He has owned several 3D printers over the years. Nozzle Notes is new, and today its guides are researched from manufacturer documentation and clearly labelled as research, not as tests of a specific machine. Hands-on printing and measuring will be added, and labelled as such, as printers arrive.
What this site is
Nozzle Notes is an independent publication for people anywhere who 3D print, or want to start. We write buying checklists, troubleshooting guides, filament explainers and cost breakdowns, and we flag where prices, stock, warranty rights and electricity costs differ by country, with UK notes from our base here.
What we will and will not do
- We will tell you when we have tested something and show you how, and tell you when we have not.
- We will not claim hands-on experience we do not have, or recycle a manufacturer's spec sheet as a review.
- We will say plainly when a cheaper option is good enough.
How we are funded
Some links to shops and brands are affiliate links, which means we may earn a commission if you buy, at no extra cost to you. That never decides what we recommend; read the affiliate disclosure and our editorial policy for the detail.
